Dahlia's spirit In Luxor 2004

It was the last night in the west bank of luxor. Was about 12 at midnight, my friends and I after a very long amusing day in the east bank went home to have a fancy dinner at our friend's Salah. I left them at the beginning of the road to the mountain before the car reaches the two huge status of Memnon.
I got enchanted with the air, the lights on the colossi's, and the goddess that must still wandering all over the glorious mountain.
Kept walking, staring to an unseen point in the horizon between the sky and the mountain. Never felt the space, never felt the distance. I even couldn't remember that I have to run to attend the party that Salah made for us.
When reaching the left ally that leads to the hotel HABU, I noticed that I have company, the full moon was above my left shoulder and I got so close to the mountain as I could see the tiny lights of the small slum village "el-qourna" assembling deep and honest looks that I'm on the right way.
The wind was so soft and carrying the smell of the ancient life, there was not a human soul in the eye sight. I felt the energy of the place. The power of history, and I lie on the car road, and I actually went on sleeping for 20 mins. Deep sleep without dreaming I presume.
I woke up and remembered the dinner, went on my way to the hotel, finding a small roofless room on the right side of the road, I couldn't beat my curiosity to climb it and to see the most legendary view of the Egyptian temple HABU. And that's where the word "a superstitious palace built under the sea" took place. I saw the extension of the columns under the sacred lake of HABU, no kidding this has to be the reflection of the huge sandy dark columns of that energetic temple, but my eyes insisted to see it as the extension OH, MY GOD. This temple….this city…….this mountain……,never stops enchanting me.

You almost carried me to Habu. Something I always wished to do with you. Visiting Habu is definitely something, but visiting it with you is everything.

You are shining. Keep it up for you and for all of us.
